 | To bring about a wider knowledge and appreciation of the
Town of Highlands vast Historical Heritage. |
| To promote the preservation and restoration of notable
architectural structures on Main Street and throughout the Town. |
| To educate and assist owners of historic properties
throughout the Town of Highlands on the benefits of state and national
registry of their homes and businesses. |
| To make recommendations to ensure new construction on Main
Street is complimentary to the existing architecture and does not compromise
the integrity of such. |
| To create and maintain a system of Heritage Trails
throughout the Town of Highlands, with the potential for linkage to existing
Hudson Valley trails, and to create and provide accompanying printed
informational self-tours. |
